Transformers is arguably one of the most iconic car film series in existence. No matter which movie you choose to watch, there are a few things you can always know for certain. It will be action-packed, entertaining for almost all ages, and filled with an endless number of flashy cars.

Fans of the franchise love that all the main characters (or robots), disguise and camouflage themselves on earth as a unique Transformers car. The CGI and special effects are truly astounding. These cars, which actually exist on the market, transform in a way that feels so seamless and realistic. It makes you forget that in real life, these incredible vehicles really are just cars.

About the Transformers Movies:

For more than a decade, Transformers has dominated theaters around the world. The Transformers box office sales have been pretty amazing, especially when you consider the franchise’s impact worldwide. Whenever these films hit AMC Theaters, you know they’ll have a powerful opening weekend in the United States, and around the globe. Combined, these movies have raked in more than $4.5 billion in box office revenue. This figure doesn’t tell the whole success story as it leaves out the additional revenue driven by the sale of branded merchandise and Hasbro transformer action figures.

The Movie Titles:

The Transformers movies consistently attract a diverse audience, as they’re rated PG-13. Families, couples, and friends alike head to the theaters after each release. So far, this exceptionally popular series features five movies and one spin-off movie. Their titles are:

  • Transformers
  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
  • Transformers: Dark of the Moon
  • Transformers: Age of Extinction
  • Transformers: The Last Knight
  • Transformers Bumblebee

Which cars are featured in Transformers, The Last Knight?

The fifth installment of Transformers is one of the most action-packed films. Its robust cinematography includes a lineup of incredibly cool cars. Who doesn’t want to be a transformer when they can speed away as a Lamborghini, Aston Martin, or Mercedes?

Here are some of the most recognizable cars featured in the most recent film:

Mercedes-Benz AMG GTR

The autobot named Drift, transforms into the high-class Mercedes AMG GTR. GTR stands for “Gran Turismo Racer,” so this car is the perfect toy for those with a need for speed. The AMG GTR is produced in limited quantities each year, making it even more exclusive. This two-door coupe features a powerful twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V-8 engine with all the interior bells and whistles you can imagine.

Lamborghini Centenario

Many fans wonder, how much does a transformers car cost? While many of them retail for upwards of $100,000, this beauty, in particular, will cost you close to $2 million. Popular autobot Hot Rod disguises himself as this masterpiece. Also produced in limited quantities, this car is a rare beauty. Consider yourself lucky if you ever see it out on the roads.

Chevrolet Camaro

One of the most beloved characters in the series is Autobot hero, Bumblebee. Bumblebee was notoriously driven by the film’s protagonist Samuel James Witwicky, played by Shia LaBeouf in the first few films. Bumblebee reverberated in the hearts of so many fans, that producers gave him his own spinoff movie. His distinct yellow and black color, leaves many wondering, what type of car is Bumblebee? The answer? An iconic Chevrolet Camaro. This sports car is one of the most affordable on the market, with MSRPs starting around $25,000. That’s great news for Transformers fans who are itching to get behind the wheel of one of them.

Western Star 5700

One of the most famous characters in the history of the franchise is Optimus Prime. Though we won’t spoil his storyline in this last movie, Optimus Prime is one of the only characters that does not transform into a sports car. Instead, he takes on the form of the Western Star 5700, a powerful monstrosity of a tractor-trailer. You don’t want to be in this autobot’s way.

Mercedes-Benz Unimog

The autoboot medic (aka mechanic) Hound, takes on the form of the mighty Mercedes-Benz Unimog. This vehicle was built to serve a variety of businesses and can be spotted in industries like mining, construction maintenance, and even fire/rescue. A version is also available for very adventurous thrill-seekers who love long-distance off-roading.

Aston Martin DB11

Aston Martin DB11

This incredibly luxurious car is the camouflage cover for Cogman, the butler of Sir Edmund Burton (played by iconic Welsh actor Anthony Hopkins). With speeds that top out at 187 miles-per-hour, The Aston Martin DB11 is considered to be the most powerful DB models the brand has ever created. The base price for this vehicle starts at over $200,000.

Ford Mustang Police Car

When on earth, the villain decepticon Barricade morphs into a sleek, Ford Mustang police cruiser. In the Transformers movie, production tricks out this vehicle and even switches out the normal police slogan to read “to punish and enslave.” The Mustang is an extremely prevalent car model and has been a staple on the car scene since it was first introduced in 1964. It’s no wonder the Ford Mustang has been named as the world’s most popular sports car for multiple years.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Crosshairs, another superhero autobot, speeds away disguised in the streets as a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The particular version featured in The Last Knight film was the seventh generation, or C7, model. Fans may remember it most by its show-stopping green and black custom paint job.
